The Benefits Of Hydration Anti-Aging

Posted on |

People often forget to look after the most vital thing of all. And that is hydration, and hydrating their skin. During Autumn, and Winter months the skin can easily become dehydrated, due to harsh windy weather, chapping, central heating, and forgetting to drink all that good stuff.

Hydration is so important. Keeping the brain hydrated is very important, for example. Dehydration can lead to dementia like symptoms. You’re not yourself when you’re not hydrated!

Water alone can’t always keep us hydrated, and can actually lead to dehydration. But that’s another chapter. Let’s for now focus on being healthy, and staying young!

Air Humidity In Winter

Humidifiers can also help keep the air moist enough while you have all central heating on. And you will now find plenty of gadgets, from essential oil mystifiers, and humidifiers, to state of the art systems, such as resonance systems. Resonance systems like Somavedic help with frequency’s, electromagnetic, and other environmental pollution. Somavedic helps transform harmful frequencies such as EMF, Wifi, and things which may not be so good for health.

You can also find ionisers, and electrical devices which balance the home, air, and water supply. Generally used in clinics, and medical centres, you can also buy these devices for your home!

Many people recommend ice baths for general health benefits and for youthful looking skin.

Healthy Hydrated Skin

Simple soap and water, or a cream cleanser is always best for healthy glowing, clean skin. Finishing with a splash of cold water will revitalise you, and close your pores. While some swear on not using soap, and sticking to cold creams (older beauty tips), others prefer a good soap like *Clinique Soap, which is perfect for problem skin, blemishes, acne, and combination skin.

If you love using cleansers, and prefer the 3 step system, the best thing going is still the *Clarins 3 step system. If you want to avoid breakouts, and keep your skin healthy and hydrated. Beauty Flash Balm is also number one. This was out before any BB Creams, or skin correctors. It literally does it all.

Another great find is the Tinted Moisturiser at The Body Shop. Infused with a healthy dose of Aloe Vera, this can also keep your skin glowing during the Winter months.

Best Selling Anti Ageing Products

There are so many skin creams and *anti ageing products, it’s hard to say which are the best. As it all depends on your skin type, and the condition of your skin. While many can have the right description, they may also be too harsh for your skin. The same goes for shampoos & hair products. Ideally, try to go with organic, and more natural looking ingredients, if you want to make sure your skin stays nice in the long term. This would be the best option by far. Some may do wonders temporarily, but may harm or do damage. I will add to the list of top face creams and anti ageing creams another day. But I will say that being healthy is probably the best way to stay looking young!

Cold Water May Be The Secret To Reverse Ageing

Healthy Diet & Natural Hydration

The aim of the game is to stay healthy, and stay hydrated. So which is the best thing to drink? Activated water, ionised water, and electrolyte drinks may be most beneficial. Freshly made smoothies in moderation, and of course plenty of herbal teas. Tea & Coffee are diuretics, which will increase the water you pass, but they will not increase your fluid intake. So if you are a tea or coffee drinker, please remember to have other drinks as well. I love drinking herbal teas. And I have herbal teas for every occasion. I also add some powder to my smoothies and herbal teas for max strength & immunity..

While there are some concerns over drinking bottled water, because of micro plastics, there is always the option to buy glass bottled water, or even get fitted with a filtration system. You can buy water filters for your entire home (including shower), or just for your drinking water.

Fruit juices are generally converted as sugar, so not generally recommended. Though some fruit juices still have their uses! Prune Juice, Carrot Juice, Cranberry Juice, Pomegranate Juice. Though you could buy concentrate for the last two. Fruit juices can aid digestion in moderation. But it’s better to make your own.

Spritzer, refresher, & cocktail drinks are really lovely, and a great alternative to alcoholic drinks. You can make a herbal tea and pour it over ice, or create your favourite drinks with sparkling spring water, or soda water. There’s no end to the fabulous drinks and flavours you can create.

Effervescent vitamins & minerals, and isotonic & electrolyte tablets are also convenient. You don’t need to take them all the time, but they are good to have if you’re feeling a little depleted, or under the weather.

Much of our hydration actually comes from dietary intake, not only beverages. Eating well will aid hydration.

Smoking & Drinking Alcohol

While it is tempting, particularly in Winter, to have a seasonal drink, which may encourage smoking, remember to do so in moderation. It’s not essential to drink alcohol or smoke because others are doing it. And you can still pop out and have fun without drinking. If you are drinking, remember to drink in moderation.
