Studying is actually the smart way to get started with your digital content career. If you’re serious about being professional, and getting paid for content, then you’ll need to learn all you can about Online Marketing, Smartphone Photography, Digital Editing, & Social Media Marketing.

Take A Free Online Course Or Free Online Diploma

There are many free online courses and free online diplomas to choose from. And you’d be surprised at how much you can learn in a short amount of time. THE MORE FUN YOU HAVE, THE FASTER YOU’LL LEARN. Mix it up a bit, and take some easy courses, along with the more intensive ones.

Choose your style, Traditional (Alison.com), In depth (Lead Academy), Futuristic/Interactive (Upskillist)…

Of course there are more online education platforms, and I compare these in another post here.

Best Course For Becoming An Influencer/Star?

There are way too many to choose from. It depends on your current skill set. It’s all about personality.

Upskillist, followed by Alison, and then Lead Academy. Take advantage of the free courses on offer.

I’ve taken many online courses. I started with Shaw Academy, which is now called Upskillist, and I studied Online Marketing back in 2015. This in turn got me started on my blogging journey. Teaching someone WordPress & Softaculous got them started with their own job/recruitment company! So we do influence people all the time with our own actions, whether we are aware or unaware.

Next I studied Counselling & Psychotherapy Diploma at Lead Academy, Life Coaching was also an excellent course teaching me great wellness skills, relationship skills, confidence, and more. These two courses got me through lockdown. And I would say they were thorough, and serious courses, for those who are serious about learning, and influencing, I recommend Life Coaching, as it teaches you so much.

Then I studied NLP and Master Hypnotherapy under a Master Hypnotherapist/Master Hypnotist, so that was a little different. Still, I learn skills every day and I learn to listen and to view things in a positive way.

Finally, at Alison I studied The Art Of Persuasion & Public Speaking (very good), and MH post Covid. It was really good to understand how to use critical thinking skills, logical argument, and negotiation to get my point across, and it was also interesting to learn how celebrities, influencers, and social media influence people, and support and advocate for those suffering with mental health conditions. It’s really important to get out there, and stand up for others, or share your own journey.

Last of all I signed up to Upskillist, and took a soft skills assessment. I learned straight away what my best points were, and which areas I need to improve. That test was very useful. Then I started a course in Smartphone Photography. It’s a great entry level course, and I think it’s perfect for people like us.

You could use online courses to study The Psychology Of Sales, Smartphone Photography, or Graphic Design. Anything you like you will be able to find at the online schools I mentioned.

Lead academy offer a couple of free courses a month, and the rest are paid courses that are affordable. They offer very in depth Diplomas, I consider to be valuable, up to date, and relevant.

Upskillist focuses more on the digital side of things, or the future. With the option of video tutorials, and AI tutors, the world is your oyster. Take entry level courses, or Diplomas, all free for 7 days, then subscribe.

Alison are well known for offering free online courses, but of course you must still pay for your certificate. Definitely worth a look. Alison offers more relevant and unusual corses, and are inclusive/diverse with their video training. I had to work around a strong accent, I absolutely loved the course Art of Persuasion. And it was worth the effort.

Once you complete an online course, make sure you get your certificate, and frame it, stick it on your wall. This will remind you how far you’ve come on your adult learning journey.

Pro Cameras

If you’re serious about online content creation, and influencing, you will need a sophisticated mini camera you can stick on a stick, and let it do its magic. I saw a young girl using such a camera, it was capable of taking panoramic photos, and videos. And if I ever bought a camera, I’d probably buy a tiny one. We don’t need big clumsy cameras in this day and age. Though there are some great camcorders and cameras that have special features, they can be a bit of a pain to carry around, store, and transfer.

Any camera works really. As we see the go pro took off, iPhone photography, and many other smartphones now produce wow images. So, take it into PRO MODE, and play around for more results.

Then there are the accessories, such as pro lighting, and selfie gadgets. Below are some useful products you might wish to check out..

The Obvious Benefits Of Using Pro Gear

  1. Youlll get good results the first time
  2. Clear well lit images compliment you
  3. Take the best images of partners too
  4. impress people with editing skills
  5. Keep up with the latest technology

While we can all create pretty decent photos with an iPhone, it is well worth investing in other kit. And this will make you stand out from the rest, and look like a professional. Edit with AI now at Magix Studio.

Making Money On The Move

Being a content creator is amazing. You can literally fo anywhere and kist start filming (though not when driving!) You’ll also need a great website and social account. You don’t always have to post selfie. Your content can be about anything of interest. Tag in businesses, people, or places to get the most visibility. Share your creativity and passion. And just enjoy yourself. Don’t sit at home, take part in things, and have an adventure or two.

Sometimes we get writers block or we need inspiration. Take a break, have fun, and everything will come back. Fun and rewarding yourself is the way to go. Or you may opt to reward others, do giveaways, or contests.

Polls, reviews, podcasts, live videos, lifestyle, or just showing others what’s possible, rather than what they’re missing. This is the best approach. The truth that anyone can achieve what they work hard for, and you’re working hard for it.

Create as much content as you can! Team up with those with production editing skills, writing skills. The most successful blogs and companies start with a team. Teamwork is everything. I’m a one man band, and you don’t want to know how tricky it can be to learn so much, upgrade software, upgrade skills, and not have enough time to use them properly. Always network, stay active, and enjoy life.

Set The Mood

Practice, and keep the mood and vibe going. Don’t worry about your good side/bad side. Some people will prefer that side.

Use bright colours, light, and cheerful images. Or create your alternative rockstar, grunge, emo look. I’m sure you look fantastic anyway.

Gather New Interest

Friends and family will become more interested, and you’ll also gain more followers if you have original high quality content that everyone can enjoy. Not something they’ve seen a million times already.

Stay original.

Affiliate Programs To Join?

there are so many affiliate and Influencer programs to join. I will update this post.

But you could be very well compensated with high quality videos & creative media.

I like Affiliate Window *Awin USA, or *Awin Global to start off with. Once you familiarise yourself with sales, you can also apply to higher paying platforms, once you have enough follows, subscribers, and web traffic. Making a 121 partner or Influencer deal works very well.

Take a *Photograghy Course Online, or read magazines, watch tutorials, and adapt your own style.

As a music producer myself, I definitely have a unique sound which is my trademark. You have to be original. And Be confident and comfortable in your competency or passion.

That’s all you need to become a great influencer. And keep up with contacts. Make sure you build lasting relationships. And listen as well as share your work. You might get an exciting ofder at ant time.

You could be invited to another country. Always read through the contract and research the company well. But if travel is on the horizon, then maybe take the opportunity.

Your Own Youtube Channel Or TikTok Account?

Definitely! Whether you’re in uni, fresh out of uni, a new Mum, or something incredible and new to share, you can share away. Tell the world all about it. I have knowledge to share with the world. I want to be able to do so confidently, positively. The thing about perfectionism, and the truth about perfectionism is, you don’t have to do everything perfectly. But you do need to have a vision, a topic, and a plan or strategy. Noone needs a Diploma or Masters to make money online. You just need to be good with people, feel comfortable or confident, and let others know all about it. You may need some legal or compliance info.

I think those who are online influencers, whether by accident or on purpose, they really don’t understand how their platform could be used to make a better world. So my last words will be this: Let’s try to make a better world with our online content. Humour, How To Tutorials, Education, Knowledge & Wisdom, pass it on. This is all we owe our future generations. If I don’t share what I have learned, then it was all for nothing. So if you are shy, or introverted, get networking, or make a channel. Be who you want to.

Discover like minded people, attend events, have fun, and ALWAYS have a business card!
